SPECIAL NOTICE: The Townsend Water Department has implemented a program to improve our meter reading capabilities for our customers. The program consists of installing a radio transmitter to your current meter to allow personnel to collect meter readings via radio frequency. We expect to begin this program within the next 2-3 weeks and will take several months to complete. We have procured the services of East National Water to install the radio transmitters. Soon a representative will be contracting you to schedule an appointment to install the transmitter. The will need access to your meter. The installation should take only a few minutes. We ask for your cooperation when scheduling appointments. All personnel will be uniformed and their vehicle will be clearly marked with the company's name "East National Water". Names and other information of all personnel will be on record at the Water Department, the Police Department, and with the Office of the Board of Selectmen.

As, always if you have any questions or concerns regarding this project please do not hesitate to contact us. There will not be a charge for this service.
