Grants available for Homeowners

MRPC is working with Townsend to create and submit a Community Development Block Grant application which is due in February. The Town is requesting funds to continue the highly successful housing rehabilitation and septic replacement program. Income eligible homeowners can receive up to $35,000 to correct health and safety code violations within their home. The Town has chosen the southern side of West Townsend as this year's Target Area. Below is a listing of the streets that are included in the target area. If you are interested in participating in the new program, you need to fill out a pre-application. You can contact Shelly Hatch at MRPC, 1-978-345-7376, x305 and she will mail you the application. But time is running out! Shelly needs applications ASAP to include them in the grant application.
