Office of the Wiring Inspector
Description of Services
The Wiring Inspector's main
responsibility is to interpret and enforce the State and National Electrical
Codes for the safety of
the public. Electrical Codes and their proper application help provide
for safe buildings and structures. Enforcement of Electrical Codes helps
prevent property damage from perils such as fire, power surge or
electrocution, and most importantly, protects against injury
or loss of life.

Additional Information
An Electrical Permit is required
before any electrical work can be performed. All permits must be
requested and signed by an Electrician licensed in the Commonwealth of
Massachusetts. If you have a project or repairs planned, or
any questions, please contact the Wiring Inspector, who will be pleased to
answer your questions or assist you with your permit process.
