PRESCRIPTION MEDICINES/SYRINGES: DO NOT PUT DOWN THE DRAIN or in recycling. Get a medical container; call the Board of Health 978- 597-1713.

LATEX PAINT: (water clean up) can be dried out and thrown out.
Oil based paint - take to hazardous waste collection.

WASTE OIL? Drop-off is the first Saturday of the month 8am - noon at the Highway Dept, 177 Main Street. On holiday weekends, drop-off will be the following weekend. Oil must be in 1-gallon containers when dropping off.

DIRECTIONS: Starting from the center of Townsend, take Rt. 119 West (Main Street) approximately 2 miles to West Townsend. Take a right onto Canal Street. Canal Street turns into Mason Road. At the fork in the road, bear left, Recycling Center is .4 miles on the right.
