Zoning Board of Appeals
Description of Services
The
Zoning Board of Appeals administers the
Zoning By-Law: the Board issues special permits for use of property, grants
variances from dimensional requirements of the By-Law,
conducts hearings on Special Permits for uses like accessory apartments or earth
removal,
reviews Chapter 40B Comprehensive Permit Applications,
hears appeals from decisions of the Building Commissioner, and
works with the Land Use Coordinator to implement the affordable housing
long-range plan, which will allow the Town to plan for appropriate affordable
housing sites.
