The Board of Registrars of Voters is responsible for maintaining an accurate
and current list of Registered Voters in Townsend. New Registrations and
deletions are reviewed and processed, absentee ballots and provisional ballots
are certified, and the updated list is furnished to the Town Clerk for use in
checking in Registered Voters at Elections and Town Meetings
Number of Members and
Terms:
Four Members: -One is the Town Clerk, by Statute
-Three are appointed by the Board Of Selectmen
Terms of three years each, arranged so that the terms of
one member expires each year.
