Winter Parking Ban

The Townsend Chief of Police, Richard B. Bailey, announces the Town’s annual winter parking ban. The Townsend “Winter Parking Ban” is in effect in Townsend from November 30th, 2017 until April 1st, 2018. The parking ban prohibits the parking of motor vehicles on any public way between the hours of 11:00pm and 7:00am or at any time during a snow emergency. Vehicles in violation will be ticketed by the police, which will carry a $15.00 fine. Vehicles directly hampering highway department snow removal will be ticketed and towed at the expense of the owner.
