Mr. Kreidler's entire professional career has been dedicated to public service on the local level here in Massachusetts. Jim served as the Assistant to Gardner Mayor Charles J. Manca for five and one half years (01-1990 to 06-1995) and then as the Town Administrator in the town of Ayer, Massachusetts for an additional five and a half years (07-95 to 11-00). From Ayer he moved on to the town of Winchendon, MA where he served as the Town Manager for fourteen and a half years (12-00 to 06-15). In December of 2015 Mr. Kreidler was brought on as the Interim Town Administrator here in Townsend, MA. After serving in that capacity for six months the Board of Selectmen chose him for the permanent position where he has been serving ever since. Mr. Kreidler is currently contracted in the position of Town Administrator until June 30, 2022.

Mr. Kreidler is a Fitchburg, MA native and a graduate of the Fitchburg public schools system (FHS '83). From there he took a post graduate year at Worcester Academy, a private preparatory school in Worcester, MA. From Worcester Academy Mr. Kreidler moved on to New York City where he received his BA in political science from Columbia University. Jim studied his junior year abroad at the University of London Department of Government in London, England. After his undergraduate work was completed Mr. Kreidler earned his Masters in Public Administration (MPA) from Clark University in Worcester, MA.
Mr. Kreidler lives with his wife Dianna and his five children in the town of Ashburnham, MA where they have resided for twenty-two years.
