The meeting was opened at 12:17PM present were, Tubby Boucher, Ray Boyes, John Barrett, Roger Rapoza and Pam Haman.
Bills and Payroll: Reviewed and signed
Deeds: Approved and signed.
Minutes: March meeting reviewed and signed.
Discuss:
The final revision of the common rules and regulations was reviewed and signed adding #11 as discussed in the meeting of March 11, 2019.
Veterans Landscaping: The quotes received for landscaping the area around the veteran’s marker came in between $8,000 to $10,000 which is substantially higher than the remaining balance of $3105. It might be possible to purchase the materials and do the work ourselves. The remaining funds do need to be spent by 6/30/19. John move to have Roger continue to work on this project using his discretion. Tubby second motion all were in favor.
Cremation Interment Fees: When doing cremation interments without a funeral home the department currently puts up a small tent and now has a bench seat. Many cremations are also now being done on Saturday. It is not practical to have various burial packages. Fees may need to be increased. It was suggested that the fee for cremations could be increased by $75.00. The latest Saturday time for a service would be 11AM with a one hour cap. The increase would be effective 7/1/19. The last fee increase for the cemetery was in 2009. Review cemetery fees at next meeting.
Superintendents Report:
Signs for Riverside cemetery will be purchase as well as department decals for the trucks.
Advertise for part grounds help (2).
Next meeting scheduled for 5/8/19 at noon.
