The meeting was opened at noon present were, Tubby Boucher, John Barrett, Roger Rapoza, Drew Funk and Pam Haman
Minutes from the September 28 2021 meeting were reviewed and approved.
Bill and Payroll reviewed and signed.
Deeds none
Correspondence: A copy of the letter that was sent to the BOS from the Friends of the Townsend Bandstand. The letter introduced the group as well outlining their goals for restoring/repairing the bandstand.
Discuss:
Adams Dam Project: Roger presented a slide show of the Adams Dam Project. Gate has been installed, boulders placed, 4 wheelers and other vehicles cannot get in but able to walk around the gate for those hiking/walking the area. Police were also pleased with the project. Growth socks will be added to help with erosion in November Commissioner’s “great job with Adams Dam”.
Superintendents Report:
Howard Park. There has been no update from the Police since Roger originally spoke to them about the evacuation plan for HBMS.
Tree pruning needs to be done in the Old Burial Ground. Branches/limbs are hanging over into the neighbor’s yard which if they should come down in a storm could cause significant damage. Limbs/branches also problems for the old grave stones as well. Roger stated that a lift does need to be brought in for the work. Roger has been working with a tree service from Princeton Mass regarding the project. After negotiating the cost, Roger was able to get he project done for $5,800. John move to approve the tree work in the Old Burial Ground. All were in favor motion carried.
