Townsend VFW Post No. 6538 and its Auxiliary will host a Red Cross Blood Drive in their 291 Main Street, West Townsend VFW Function Hall.
Everyone 17 years of age or older, who weighs at least 110 lbs, is in generally good health and has not given blood within the previous 56 days is encouraged to "give the gift of life" at that time. Sixteen year olds may donate blood with parental permission. Individuals who are eighteen years of age or younger do have to meet certain height and weight requirements.
Walk-ins are welcome but anyone wishing to scheulde a specific appointment time or having questions about donating bloodshould call the Red Cross at 1-800-733-2767.
